Where does the Splatter name come from?
It is a little known fact about Splatter that we actually started out life in the early days as ‘Nebula Games’.
“I’ve always been interested in the stars and astronomy and we wanted to come up with a name that would stand out from all the other field marketing agencies out there and, being a bit geeky, we wanted something to say that our service was out of this world” says Client Director and founder Jonathan Dunnett.
“The name Nebula, although not terrible, never really sat right with either of us and we were still discussing potential names for about a month. Every good name we came up with seemed to be taken. Its a harder task than you’d think! One day I found an image of the paint used in the logo and it didn’t take long for both of us to agree that the name Splatter was the way to go. I set about creating a logo that looked funky and vibrant using that same image and thats the logo we still use today” added Operations Director and founder William Slater.
“We also liked the idea of the Splatter “paint” to be a way of getting staff everywhere, just like paint would if you dropped a tin on the floor. But the main thing is we both thought the logo looked pretty cool.“ says Client Director and founder Jonathan Dunnett.
So there you have it. Thats where the name Splatter comes from.
