FAQ’s for Staff
Will I be required to wear a uniform?
You may be required to wear a uniform, this would be supplied for you. If you aren’t instructed to wear a uniform the dress code will be business dress. All this would be confirmed at the time of booking.
What will be my location of work?
We have jobs through out the UK and we will try our best to ensure you have work in the most convenient location possible.
What days will I be working?
Depending on the campaign the days you are required to work will differ. Majority of the time demonstration campaigns are over a weekend and often include Bank Holidays. Other campaigns require you complete the work between certain days, in this case you are able to do the job at any time during the specific dates.
What are my hours of work?
The hours you are required to work will differ from campaign to campaign. In most cases, for a demonstration campaign, a Saturday shift is 9am – 6am and this includes a 1 hour break. Sunday shifts is store opening hours which could vary between the hours of 10am and 5pm, on a Sunday you would get a 45 minute break. This does vary from job to job though, and so it is important you read the specification before accepting any work and then also re read on getting the brief.
Some work will be split into visits which you will be paid for per visit, these can usually be done in a certain time frame and fit around your normal daily routine. These typically take 10 – 30 minutes but some may take an hour or more.
When do I report my hours worked?
After every shift, we require you to build a report, which would include photographs. The report is online, so it is very easy for you to use and complete via a computer, laptop or smart phone. It is important that we are knowledgable on how effective your job was. We also allow for reporting time in your rate of pay, with the completion of each report all pay is automatically generated.
How will I get paid?
You will be paid through PAYE for each job you complete for Splatter, you will have different rates of pay. Each month you will receive a pay slip with the details and breakdown of your payment and you will be paid directly into your bank account. When you book your first job with Splatter you must send us your P45 from your previous employer as soon as possible. This is to make sure you are paying the correct amount of tax.
If Splatter is not your main source of income, or you are unable to produce a P45 form we require you to download and fill out a ‘New Starter checklist form’ and send it to us at your earliest convenience. If you are a student you might be reimbursed any tax you paid at the end on the tax year, you do this directly with HMRC. If you need more details regarding this, please contact your local tax office.
